Description
This fully-functional leather and seed bead wrapped pipe are finished with real feathers, glass and metal beads, and a braided leather hanging strap. The bowl is made from brass as well as the hatchet end. This tomahawk would have been present during talks of war. If the talks went well, the pipe of the tomahawk would be smoked and passed as a symbol of peace then taken out and buried–the weapon would not be used. (This is where we got the phrase “Bury the hatchet.”) Beads, leather, and feathers will vary. Certificate of Authenticity included. Measures about 11″ long with a 15″ hanging height. Bead color will vary. More Navajo Pipes also available.
