 About the Artist: Jeffrey Severn I knew I was destined to be an artist when I got back a college math test I had doodled on. My professor commented, “Lousy score, Severn, but nice duck!” Watercolorist Jeffrey Severn enjoys portraying North American wildlife in humorous and endearing situations. Having studied Wildlife Science at Humboldt State University and watching many hours of Walt Disney animation, Jeffrey has combined these two loves into a style of art that will both delight and amuse. Jeffrey has illustrated his own children's books and his work has been commissioned by the Muppets, Sesame St. Magazine, Golden Books, and Highlights for Children. Among his influences are the early Disney Artists and other contemporary illustrators.
Currently living
in Grass Valley, California, Jeffrey and his wife and son fill
their studio home with art, music, and laughter.
